For The Man, Made By The Man...

Hello friends...

Yes, its the crunch time of the year...exams, work piling up, college classes, assignments...its just never ending! But thank God its the weekends, babyyyy!! Wooo hoo!! Dont we ALL love weekends???

Well friends, today we're gonna take a trip down memory lane...and our journey back into time takes us all the way back to 1966...yes, the glorious sixties...The days of Elvis...but hey, just to let you know, way back in May 18 1966, exactly 41 years ago...the man was born. And 41 years down the road, this man is STILL growing! Yes, this post is specially dedicated to our ever young Cmdr Jeffrey Lim! Dont let his young looks kid you...he's passed the 4o mark and now looking forward to senior citizen status! Haha...

Well...if you asked me to describe Cmdr. Jeffrey in one line...I guess it would be, "He's my commander, and will always be!" I guess that pretty much sums up what he's been to many of us. He's been our leader, our mentor and in many ways...he's been more than a friend to us. Seems like he's been our commander for all our lives, eh? Well...its been almost 2o years of involvement in RR and what he's sowed into many of our lives through this ministry is priceless. Truly, many of us can say that he's been the foundation and pillar of strength for this ministry in our church over the years and it has not been in vain.

Just in case you're wondering...he's the guy with the white headscarf!

And so, from the bottom of our hearts, we'd like to wish you a very Happy Birthday and may God continue to give you many many more candles on your cake! God bless...

A Child Is Born

On behalf of Royal Rangers Selangor #6, we’d like to take this opportunity to wish our dearest Cmdr. Gideon and Serena heartiest congratulations on the arrival of the new bundle of joy…A BABY BOY!!! Hoooooray!

Born on the 11th of May 2007, we want to thank God for His hands of protection upon Serena and the child throughout the delivery stage. Truly, God has been good and faithful all the way throughout this journey! And as part of the Royal Rangers family, we can’t wait to have this new member recruited into this amazing ministry. We are also honoured to be able to post some of the very first pics of this baby right here…enjoy!

Wanna know the baby’s name? Well, for this part, I’ll give the honour of announcing the baby’s name to the parents. Will update you accordingly…till then, you are free to suggest some baby name ideas. Haha…no fish names, please! I’m guessing its gonna’ be a name which symbolizes royalty, a lineage of kings, God’s chosen one...till the announcement from the parents, its anyone’s guess! Maybe Steve Irvin Lee Jr? Or how about Jeff the ‘Lee’ Corwin??

He sure is a lil' bundle of joy!

The proud parents :)

Mommy and baby on the way home :)

RR Council of Achievement 2007!

And so...another weekend that was! And I'm not talking about the fact that Manchester United won the league AGAIN! Yupp...and the millions of fans around the world continue to sing "We Got Our Trophy Back!"...

Ok, before I get carried away with the Premiership champs, allow me to share with you another amazing story about champions...On the 6th of May 2007, RR Sel #6 held its annual RR Council Of Achievement. The very purpose of this event is to recognize the achievements of the rangers and to give them the honour due for their hardwork and commitment in this ministry. It was a special day for many of them rangers and leaders as well. During my ranger days, it was fabulous experience to receive the accolade and applause of my fellow patrol mates. And as leaders, there's nothing more fulfilling than to see your rangers succeed and excel in this ministry. Truly, this ministry continues to develop and build the next generation of strong and committed Christians, ready to lead when called upon and ready to take His message to the community.

After a frantic morning and afternoon getting things prepared, we were good to go. Many thanks to our amazing friend behind the lense, Jon Lee...we are able to relive these special moments that will forever be remembered all our days. Got plenty of photos to choose from. Many great shots. Well, here's a some of my favourite shots and moments during that day, and I hope you'll be blessed by it! A thousand apologies for not being able to post all the pics of every ranger receiving their merits due to my limitations...

Selangor #6...moving forward, together! The future awaits...

Well, I hope that the pics were sufficient to give you readers a feel of what it was like last Sunday. Once again, a big thank you to all my commanders for making this day possible and for the help rendered to pull this off. This event was specially made to honour and bless the rangers. None for us leaders, all for the rangers. For the leaders, to see the fruits of our labour in this ministry unfold right in front of our eyes is itself a blessing.

We ask that God will give us many many more years ahead and bless us with the opportunity to change and impact the lives of many kids and youths out there, through the Royal Rangers...

Congrats to all who received your merits and awards...

God bless!
