Freedom, at last...

You wake up this morning with that sinking feeling in your heart...you try to control your urge to study, but find no motivation to do so...you feel like wearing your school uniform for one more day, but cant seem to find a reason to...you feel like sitting in an exam hall, and re-live the stressful moments wondering where the hands and feet go, or why 1+1=2...all those memories, seem so distant...so far away....if only you could turn back time....NOT!!! Haha...

And so...after almost 11 years of combined primary and secondary education, the battle is finally over...for now, for the majority of them. After the Bio paper had been handed over, you cant help but get that good ol' feeling that everything you have worked hard for over the past 11 years, its end was signalled by the handing up of that Biology paper. I hope you guys were able to differentiate between the body parts and place them accordingly...:)

But hey...just like the good ol' days of Elvis, The Beatles, England football...every good thing must come to an end. What's next? Tertiary education, college, university...its a start of a whole new chapter in life. A chance for everyone to start off on the right foot, wipe the records clean, and venture into the great unknown...(drama eh?) But nevertheless, I say "Enjoy your freedom!". After months of hardwork, take a seat, kick off those shoes, have some chips and nachos, laze all day on the couch or a lazyboy...catch some tv, watch some General Hospital or Empty-V...its the most wonderful time of the year!

Well friends, this post is speacially dedicated to all those SPM-ers out there who have just completed their biggest test of their lives so far...and like what I said in my previous post, better organize a party soon before the results are out! Haha...anyway, since the theme of the day is Freedom, here's an inspiring video thats good for your soul...enjoy it!

Have a blessed week ahead, and for Pete's sake...stay out of trouble! Keep it real, keep it legal...

God bless...

God Save The Queen...

Our deepest condolence to Cmdr. Eric for the un-qualification of his home country team for next year's Euro Championship...

England...world-class players...more like world-famous class-less....off you go, Macca!

God Save The Queen...

Common Portugal!!!

p/s: The only reason they lost was because not a single Man Utd player was in the starting line-up....:)

Balloon Mania!

Hello hello...

A very Selamat Deeparaya to all my beloved commanders, rangers, youths, friends and blog-stalkers out there...yes yes, its been a while. Dont you just love the wait??? Just in case you're wondering if this blog has been left for dead (for like 3 weeks), or probably wondering if I've moved on to the after-life, nah...I've been around...just lazy-ing around, as usual. But no worries, I'm alive and well...and that'll be the same for this RR blog.

Just to update you with what's been happening...if you ever thought that as the year comes to an end, that workload will reduce...man, that's soooooooo wrong! Did I sound just like Kevin Wong back there? Haha...anyway, is he still alive? Let us know, Kev...okok, back to my point. We've got Christmas events coming up, mission trips, carolling...man, its gonna be one crazy year-end party! Anyway, building up to our upcoming mission trip to Sarawak, quite a number of team members recenly decided to join in the balloon making session organized by our church. This balloon class was taught by Mr. Richard Tong, a former member of our church way back in the 70s. Yup, its been a while...in his words, "Feels like home...". I agree...

Man, I'm telling you...when we have crazy balloon classes like these...everyone and everything just goes bezerk! There were adults, children, youths...even the crippled came along (Cmdr. Andy). There we're like loads of balloons all over the hall...bet Uncle Cephas was turning red. Haha...but everyone came to learn and had loads of fun in the process. Mr. Richard is an extremely gifted and C-R-E-A-T-I-V-E guy, pretty entertaining too at times. He practically taught us how to make the entire collection of animals from Noah's ark..and still had time and enthusiasm to show us a couple more tricks. The stuff learned will prove to be valuable during the upcoming mission trip, especially so for the children's ministry. Its going to be exciting drawing in all the kids using this sausage balloons, and seeing what our creativity invents this time around. Perhaps a double-headed, six-legged, triple-eyed dog?? Haha...

Anyway, here's some pics for your viewing pleasure...have fun!

Here's Andy, Connie and Eric with their 1st creation of the night...some weird looking puppy! Or was it a rat??

Cmdr. Alison with her Adventure girls looking all excited for the class!

And let me introduce you to our latest friend...he's actually a balloon Spiderman-replica, made by our very own in-house expert, Andrew Lee! Steady man....how cool is this??? For easier reference, let's call him Spendex.

Seems like Cmdr. Eric has gotten himself a new friend/lover...

Here's Andy getting in the act too, together with Spendex. Seems like everyone was so excited being next to Spendex. I wonder why....Hmm...

Here's another one of Cmdr. Eric's good friend...not too sure what that is actually...some weird-looking blue creation...nevertheless, friends are friends. We accept them the way they are...:)

Here's Cmdr. Shie Yee with a supposed-to-be balloon panda. The smiley face ad spots are courtesy of Reuben & Andy. In our mind, this is how a Panda looks like....I know...laugh it out. Dont keep it in....:)

Come to think of it, from this angle...it actually looks like one of those X-wing fighters from Star Wars...aye???

Another one of Andrew Lee's masterpiece...a lady (in bikini) on a bike! Man...how does he even this of such things??? And I'm not talking about the bikini....

Here's Cmdr. Gid and Elena posing with their own balloon creations...Cmdr. Gideon is a sword-making expert, did you know??

Talk about noise...the place was totally buzzing! Everyone was like going balloon crazeee!!

Awww...here's Elena with her balloon penguin! Aren't they both simply adorable??? Yet another masterpiece from Andrew's long list of tricks...steady man.

Check out my friend Sally here with her display of collection...

I found these kids having a fun time sword-wielding and battling it out that the back...couldn't resist the urge to join in and show em' who's THE BOSS. Bad idea as I was outnumbered severely...had to use some tactics to stop me from being battered by these kids, like ask them to pose for the camera....haha.

Anyway, that's all for now. And oh...if you're interested to join the final balloon session, its happening on the 19th of Nov at 7.30pm in GT Klang. Cost is RM10 per person. Mr. Richard will be teaching on how to make party decorations using the balloons, and I promise that you wont be disappointed. BUT...by the time you actually read this post, the class would probably have ended. Sad....haha...wait for next round la.

Ok friend, today is a bonus for you...double blog posts! Have fun...especially you SPM-ers. Seems like this week is going to be a killer eh? Add maths, Physics, Chemistry....superb! But think about it...after this week is over, your burdens will be so much lighter! Can you even start to taste the freedom that's lingering in the air....? God bless and for St. Peter's sake, please head back to your studies and shut down this evil thing called a PC!

Inspire The Ordinary...

Have a blessed week...

Another one bites the dust...

I have a confession to make...

Over the pass 2 months, many things happened...many came by and left, many memories to savour...but it still doesn't change the fact that...

I miss Rangers...I miss each and everyone of you looking all so 'khaki' in your uniform...cant wait to hit the ground running! We'll be back soon enough. Just make sure you get your studies done and your exams out of the way yea?

Anyway, just to update you on the latest happening/casualty...apparently, somebody tried to follow my illustrious footstep, which is to spend a night in Arunamari Medical Center. I'm sure by now you know who I'm talking about eh...haha...well friends, allow me to introduce to you the latest casualty of war, Cmdr. Andy Gan! *no claps this time*

Poor chap...apparanrly he had some sort of growth/mold/6th toe growing on his feet at the sole area. Went to see a doctor to get it removed, etc etc etc. To cut the long story short, he has undergone surgery to get it fixed once and for all. No matter how funny this sounds, please please pray for his speedy recovery. For your info, Cmdr. Andy is leading a mission team to Sarawak at the end of this Month (28th I think), so we desperately need him to be able to walk well and carry our bags...but still, imagine him and a 6th toe...haha...man, I cant even begin to imagine.

Well, the good thing is that he's not sulking or mourning in hospital. In fact, he's actually enjoying his vacation at the hospital ward in room 305. Same cost per night as a 4-star hotel ok? Haha. Movies, TV series, crazy friends who brought Monopoly to the hospital, junkfood, Bah Kut Teh....??? Yup, he actually had powersoup for breakfast! The good life...no work, no worries. Just need to get well, bro. We need you! So pleaseeeee pray for his speedy recovery ok? Let's hope the stitches at the sole of his feet heal in time...

Anyway, here's some photos of him in the hospital. Enjoy and do send him your well wishes/condolences...God bless!! Oh..and just for your info, the bed next to his was occupied by me about 2 months ago. What a waste...if only this happened 2 months ago, the both of us could have our own version of a 'One-Leg-Kicking' whacky race in the hospital. Haha...imagine Andy with a walker, while I'm hopping around in my cast....:)

Now that's what I call a cool walker...anyone wanna race? Glad to see him all bubbly and cheerful. Can't wait for him to be back all well and healthy!

Check this out, ppl...this is what I call a VACATION! Food served in bed, movies to watch, just chillin' all day long....by the way, we interrupted him while he was watching the movie National Treasure (in the background).

Ok folks, that's all for now. Till then, stay well and healthy, and stay away from the usual stuff...drugs, cigarettes, alcohol and the devil. And if you see anything that looks like a 6th toe growing on your feet, do see a doctor ASAP...and of course, smile knowing that you'll end up here in the blog as a main post! Haha..

God bless!
