Splish Splash time yo!!

Hello buddies...

Man...I've missed each and every one of you! I've been away for a couple of days..and it feels like eternity! What's been happening lately? Anyone got married lately? Any new juicy gossips to share? Haha...make this your space ok? Feel free to drop your tags in our new tagboard! Woo hoo...!! Actually...the previous one got corrupted...so it kinda like messed up the entire blog...but anyway, that's history now. Time to look forward to the future...

Well, last week on the 8th of Oct, a total of 25 youths/adults got water baptised during our sunday morning service! Wooo hooo!!! What an amazing sight...man...its an act of faith and courage...telling the whole world that Jesus is de way of life, the way to eternal life...to stand there in front of the whole church as a living testimony of God's goodness and faithfulness...hats off to all of you, my friends! This was probably the biggest number of people getting water baptised at one go! There was an air of excitement as the time drew closer and closer...

One by one, they came and shared their testimony. Once that was done, it was time. Everytime baptism happens, I always recall how mine was like back then in the 60's. Its was like...we had the beach, the sand, the open skies...kinda' like the Jordan river of old. Closest thing to it these days is Klang river! And it doesn't get better than that! Fancy trying it? Keep us posted. We might even consider it for those aspiring ones out there...:)

Anyway, the pics below will explain what happened on that very day last Sun. Enjoy!

The 25 baptism candidates taking the stand...

Here's Tzi Li sharing her testimony. Oh, did anyone notice that she mentioned something about mixing with the wrong group of friends??? Hahaha...

Woo hoo!! Mr Metro Zhi Fung...giving his MCA speech. "Vote For Me!"...his cry of the day! You rock, bro!

For those of you out there doubting whether Amy was 'fully' baptised...here's proof that Amy went all the way! :)

Tzi Li going thru her "I do" replies to Pas. Lau's statement of commitment...

Here's to a new life forevermore...

Our ranger Kelly in action...

Another one that made a stand...Stephanie!

The Quiet One...Adrian....*shhh*

Looks like Chinese New Year came early this time around...Khang Tik's turn... a family affair!

The star of the day....Jordan Yeap! Notice how bright the pic is? That's shows popularity, my friends...respect!

The one that didn't get away...our very own...Mr. M!

Pas had to really get a grip on this one...no letting go, no turning back...

Here's to a renewed life...a life without his fellow 'metro' friends...haha!

"Of course I do!" Simon going through the motions...

Man...I'm telling you...it certainly ain't fun being the 2nd last person of the whole lot. Noticed the lovely colour of the water??

What's more fun that being the 2nd last person? Being the FINAL ONE of course! Haha... Our homeboy, Jason Ong!

Being the last, Pas Lau made sure everything went underwater..and he double checked just to be sure! Can't afford to have the 'old man' hanging around town...:)

Truly, it was a day of rejoicing, celebration and declaration of our faith, and a testament of God's all-powerful saving grace...From the darkness in our lives, He called us out into His marvellous light! Its been a fantastic journey for the 25 of them to get thus far, but friends...the journey has only begun! With God on board, its gonna' be an awesome journey through this life!

This water baptism service was particularly special and memorable for me. For a parent to witness his/her child get baptized, its such a joyous and proud moment for any parent. Especially so if the child getting baptized was the one to bring the parent back to church, back to God after all these years. To see the parent filled with joy, looking proudly at his son, waving his hands in the air in victory as his son rose from the waters...friends....its moments like these that will inspire you to do more for God, for His people. As tears filled my eyes, I thanked God for everything...everything I have...

I'll leave you with these words..the words of a man who felt nothing else but joy and thankfulness at seeing his son baptised that morning....

"This is truly the day of breakthrough..."

Amen to that.
