The story of a Survivor...
Overall, survival camp and lepak camp was totally fun! It has taught me on how to survive in the jungle (I think). I never knew what was the exact process that a chicken had to go through until it reaches our mouth. I guess we somehow don`t even bother to think what a chicken goes through before it enters our mouth as dinner. We just give thanks and eat the food that is served on the table. After the survival camp, I finally got to know how to slaughter and clean a chicken, and what a chicken has to go through before it reaches our mouth.
Sherlyn and Melissa...showing the world that she ain't heavy! :)
Next up was setting up the fire and cooking the chicken. Imagine eating the chicken you`ve slaughtered! You`ll go “yucks!”. Spent the rest of the day in the dark under the shelter, which we built that included a emergency backdoor access to the toilet. We stayed there until the next morning.
Lepak camp was fun as well. We had a wonderful time playing captain ball and relaxing after a tough night. It`s so refreshing being surrounded by nature. We also tired ourselves out playing in the stream.
All in all, this camp is nothing but fun and had a good dose of fellowship. It`s was really good to be able to hang out with other rangers and deepen our bond of friendship. Thank God for keeping us safe throughout the whole camp.

I just love the effects in this pic. Thanks to Dan 'Iban ' Seliong for the good stuff!
Melissa is currently studying in Form 5 and cant wait for SPM to be over! Based on what she wrote, I can assure you that she finally knows what a chicken goes through before it ends up as dinner! Finally she can say, "Been there..done that...!" She thoroughly enjoyed her experience of choking the chicken to death, literally! Check out her video in the previous posts...all the best for SPM, Mel! Let's make it a memorable one...:)
