Church Camp 2008! The beginning...

Holaaaaa!! Taiping pergi...Ipoh mali!!!

Well well...what a fantastic church camp its been eh, friends?? So much to talk about...so much fun and laughter...simply an amazing fun time together as a church! Its such a pity that it had to end so fast! Well, fun's like that...it never lasts long enough, eh? Such enlightenment on a Thursday afternoon...better write that down somewhere. Could come in handy some day in your English essay...:)

Just to update you...we had our GT Klang Annual Family Camp 2008 this year in the beautiful, lusheous green settings of Taiping Golf & Country Resort, Perak! Man...there's so much greenery and trees in Taiping, I think I had too much oxygen in my system!! Well...if it doesn't kill you, its probably good for you...just like the good food we all had in Ipoh! Man...such a killer...all those good food we had for lunch. Apparently, from what I heard...some of our guys knew how to find all the good places to eat in Ipoh...backlanes and all...but they got lost trying to get to the hotel! Adui...:)

Anyway, here's some pics and some short stories/explanations behind the life and soul of the pictures....enjoy and be blessed!

Here's Cmdr. Wei Chuan waiting anxiously for the 'bus' to arrive...knowing his 'bus' driver, there's always a chance of then forgetting about him!

Here's the 3 passengers in my Jaguar...they tried their best to keep me awake...but most of the time it was the other way around! Thanks la guys...next time I'm dropping off you guys halfway....(for calling me half-chinese).

Oh man...can you even begin to feel how good that tastes???

This is even better! Just look at all the love and intensity on Cmdr. Zhi Fung's face...

Not enough eating their own share...now have to fight over the last one!

Well, the boys certainly had a good time feasting...and just fyi, about 2 hours ago...they had BKT for breakfast!! Man..these guys are just PIGS!

Ipoh certainly gives you that old town feeling...where the people are friendly and carefree, and life's good and the food is excellent and classic! Kinda' like certain parts of Klang...minus the crows!

Rocker-wannabe! All that's left now is to bite of a pigeon's head and eat it...:)

Hey hey...its baby Isaac and baby Kenneth!! Quiz time...who's cuter?? :)

Give it up for the man...Pas. Ian Peters!! A totally radical, comical, out-of-this-world kinda' preacher man. He redefines the art of preaching, in my opinion. Definitely not your everyday kinda' minister...we'll always remember him for his life's testimony and his on-stage comedy!

Your hometown hotties! Jays, Zf, Reubs and Simon...

2nd Day lunch - Tesco Taiping! Yes yes...too bad for us cauz it was raining and we didn't feel like travelling too far.

Time for some good ol' KFC, Taiping style! The group eating like there's no tomorrow! Well...its been a long morning for some. And its always great to be able to catch up with friends over a meal or two...

Arghhh!!! No more chicken left!!! Sheila screams in fear....

Check out the celebrity baby...drapped in England's colours!

Ahhh...the boys doing what they do best! Imagine this...a carpet tennis court which makes an excellent futsal court! Just like home, eh? The boys didn't waste any time and got down to business immediately! Maybe next time the Kingsmen might wanna have a friendly against the youngsters?

Melissa and Kelly in her Aladdin pants...

Cmdr. ZF and Shie Yee...looking good, peeps. Keep it up!

The night services were powerful and accompanied with high praise and worship. We thank God for the mighty move of His Holy Spirit that saw many being filled and received a healing touch! Certainly, God is good!

Pas. Ian praying for the people for the baptism of the Holy Spirit...

Cmdr. Gideon doing his part to pray for the people that came up to the altar...oh, btw...do keep him, Serena and the kids in prayer yea? Cmdr. Gid is currently away in Miri ministering in a youth camp. Pray for safety and God's protection to be upon him and his family back home! We're expecting good reports, cmdr...and some goodies..haha!

Pas. Peter praying for the members too...

Here's Cmdr. Eric with Pas Ian. Eric was used as an illustration on how we as God's people are supposed to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit...and not vice versa. Well, Eric got a nice little bump on his head for trying to fool around during the illustration. Haha...

Man...he reminds me of Russel Peters...he just might be the brother! Well, just incase you're wondering (like the rest of us)...wat is he? Is he Asian? American? Maori? Well...its complicated. Here's how it goes...Pas. Ian was born in India, moved to Australia, studied in NZ for a while, and then left for the United States. So yea...he's complicated. :)

Here's Kel Frasier and Josh Yap...the ladies are looking as fine as ever! Everyone had a fantastic time together....

Presenting you...Bro. Blessed Henry! Haha...this year the kids had a treat. Blessed Henry was the children's minister and from what I heard...they had one awesome time rocking the place with this dude! Amazing stuff, I'm telling you...preach it, brother!

Here's the last pic for today...and we'll leave you with the adorable Mr. Tan! Well, dont you wish he stays this cute all the time?? Haha...what an amazing kid, I'm tellin' ya!

And so friends...that's all for now. Do stay tuned for more updates from the Church Camp. There's like so many other stories to tell, so many pics to be posted! I'll do my best to get everything in yea? So please bear with me. A good story takes time...just like a bowl of soup. :) And if you would like me to write about a certain incident that happened during the camp, you can always leave a post in the chatbox or drop me a comment. I'll try my best to come up with the story.

I've had an amazing week so far. Its been tiring to the bones, physically draining...but altogether fun and worth it all just being with each one of you! Signing off now, friends...stay alive, be good and God bless!
