The Great Slide & Black Hole...

Happy Thursday, rangers and friends!

With a blink of an eye, we've moved from Monday to Thursday already! Gosh...no wonder I'm getting older much faster than usual...:) Well, good news is that I'm back to give you yet another update for our Gua Tempurung adventure that happened somewhere last week. This trip wouldn't be complete if I didn't share with you some stories about the Great Slide and the Black Hole drama...

Well, some of you might be wonderin' what in the world am I talking about...imagine this: a 5-meter high wall slide and then its straight underground into a black hole...the unknown...these 2 items have been a highlight of all our trips to this cave, and it never fails to amuse us everytime. Well, enjoy the pics below and when you have the time, do speak to those who experienced it and lived to tell the tale...:)

Here we go...there's Cmdr. Eric waiting eagerly to be pushed off the edge by his best buddy...

This is one guy I would love to push over a cliff some day...:)

The best expression of the day goes to Ms. Kelly Yap! Haha...check out her "WHOAAAAA...Mamamia!!!" expression...

Hero la this fella...dont really need any assistance falling down...

And yes...the fall of the day goes to Su Vien! She tried her best to control her slide down...and timed it to perfection! Sliding down fast enough, she had enough momentum to fall right into the arms of her knight in shining armour, our tour guide! :) Such a romantic sight...

Now this is one guy who needed help...believe it or not, but Franz had a tough time sliding down. Sticky boy...

Hey hey...its Miguel!! Slowly does it boy...

Time to show some brotherly love...pushing each other down the slope...

The jewel in the Yap family...so we couldn't afford to have anything bad happen to this kid...

Last but not the least, Cmdr. Reuben made it down too...remember, in the end...the tortoise won the race. :)

Here's the hole I was mentioning about to you...its like this opening in the ground that leads you to an underground river chamber. Down first...its Pedro Franz!

For a moment, we were worried if Cmdr. Andy could make it...using the stomach-in & hold-your-breath tactic, he made it! :)

Sherlyn was going, "Common...make it quick! I'm stuck in here..." Haha...

Everyone's like a true poser, wei...this is what I call celebrity caving. Cmdr. Stephen in action...

Now...looking at this pic, while everyone's busy going DOWN, seems like Peter is coming UP from the hole! :)

As you can see...Cmdr. Eric is getting quite bored looking at everyone going down...he's probably wondering when is his turn...and also if he can actually fit thru that hole! :)

Cmdr. Jason's turn to get down and dirty...

This one another pro poser! She made sure and literally forced us to take her pic...Grace Loh...:)

This time smart already...dont wanna be the last one down! :)

Sheila Yong...all smiles from her. Always a good sight! :)

And yes...once again, its the crown jewel's turn to make his way into the great un(known). Nice little' chap...he was lecturing me about life and yes...women. Haha...

And so friends...there you have it. We've come to the end of the Gua Tempurung 2008 story. But the fun and adventure doesn't stop there! So many things to explore, so many adventures yet in store for us! Continue to look forward to the next adventure, learn to enjoy nature, and most of all...dont forget to have fun along the way. Life's much better livin' it with a smile...dont you agree? :)

Why so serious? Let's put a smile on that face...*wink*

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Deuteronomy 31:6
